The “REAL” Project Owner

Dear Community,

Auric Network was founded on the principles of equal opportunity, financial inclusion, and the democratic process, as a protocol for the USERS, directed and shaped by the USERS.

The protocol from inception made allowance for a decentralized governance framework to guide the growth of the project, however, like any newly appointed “government”, the process through which governance, policy, law, or regulation is implemented, changed, or created was in its infancy and development phase. Although governance was always in our intentions, a partial or ineffective governance rollout simply for the sake of launch, would go against our reason for wanting a decentralized, user governed protocol in the first place.

History is unwittingly littered with examples of laws or governance systems that only pay ‘lip service’ to their alleged purposes. This hypocrisy resonates through the crypto markets, with protocols claiming to be decentralized and operating on properly functioning governance frameworks, but giving no guidance on how to, let alone encourage users to participate.

Heads up… controversial statement:

A project that does not actively strive to build a governance framework that allows easy access, use, and encourages participation, is disingenuous about its claims to being a decentralized protocol.

There, it has been said but this does not mean that it is easy. Rome was not built in a day, nor a democracy, even if it is on chain, and built by ‘his/her digital highness’ Ichiro. (is it narcissistic to refer to myself in the third person? Or to answer my own questions?)

Auric Network tirelessly worked to build out improvements to the governance framework on which the project was built. Time and effort were not spared, nor were the immediately price-impacting initiatives prioritized over our core promise to design a protocol made for and directed by its users.

It is with great pride, therefore, that we launch our governance framework as unequivocal proof of our desire for governance to have the widest and deepest participation from our community.

We are one of a few protocols to not only endow our users the right to change the direction of the project, but we are also assisting in the exercising of that right. Our goal is to maximize the submission of proposals and the voicing of opinions on the proposal.

This is truly Auric Network’s emancipation from digital democratic infancy!

Yes, open the floodgates of pluralism!!! Our governance framework is our ‘welcome mat’ for the community, to participate in the determination of the project’s destiny.

The founders have designed and built a protocol and now finally hand it over to its true intended owners- You the Community!

The deployment of our governance interface is in the works with the launch to be completed in the next few days. Additional information will be made available on our official channels.

Stay tuned for a practical guide to the key features and functions of our governance rollout!
